Frequently asked questions about surrendering a horse
It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for horses. As a dedicated rescue, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to the well-being of every horse. We want to make this process as clear and supportive as possible for you.
Why might someone need to surrender their horse to RHSAVES?
We understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly. Common reasons include the inability to provide a safe environment, rising costs of care (veterinary, farrier, feed, housing), mental illness, health issues, or the death of the owner. We are here to help when you can no longer provide the necessary care.
We require full disclosure of all relevant information about your horse. This includes details about its age, health history, temperament, any known behaviors, and any previous training. This helps us ensure the best possible care and future placement for your horse.
